The student section was a sea of black and gold, and a loud one at that. Music from the band was interspersed with a constant stream of cheers, ranging from the traditional fight song to a rendition of Twisted Sisterās āWeāre Not Gonna Take Itā during an opponentās free throw shot: āYouāre not gonna make it, anymoooore...ā - <p>University of Colorado Boulder Chancellor Philip P. DiStefano, Athletic Director Mike Bohn and new head football coach Mike MacIntyre today unveiled a $170 million, multi-year proposal to upgrade CU-Boulderās football facilities before the Intercollegiate Athletics subcommittee of the CU Board of Regents at the boardās monthly meeting in Colorado Springs.</p>
- <p>The 2013 calendar year is starting off on a great note for University of Colorado senior Shalaya Kipp as she was named the 2012 College Women's Athlete-of-the-Year as selected by the Colorado Sports Hall of Fame, announced on Tuesday afternoon.</p>

- <p>The University of Colorado administration vows Jon Embreeās successor will find a renewed commitment to football when he steps on campus and continues the process of rebuilding the besieged Buffaloes program.Ā Chancellor Phil DiStefano and Athletic Director Mike Bohn said at a Monday news conference that CU recognizes how high the bar has been raised with the Buffs joining the Pac-12 Conference ā and the schoolās hiring of a new coach will reflect that.</p>
- <p>Jon Embree has been dismissed as University of Colorado head football coach, athletic director Mike Bohn announced Sunday evening.</p>
<p>Embree took over as the schoolās 24th full-time head coach in December 2010, just the third alumni to do so.Ā In two seasons, his teams compiled a 4-21 record.Ā This past fall, CU finished 1-11, which included a 1-8 record in Pac-12 Conference play.</p>

<p>Professors from the University of Colorado and Loyola University Chicago studied what happened to the records of college football teams that replaced a head coach for performance reasons in the Football Bowl Subdivision (formerly Division 1-A) between 1997 and 2010. Over this period, an average of 10 percent of FBS teams fired their coach each year because of the teamās poor performance on the field.</p> - &±ō³Ł;±č&²µ³Ł;Ģż&±ō³Ł;/±č&²µ³Ł;
